Conway police say a 13-year-old girl found dead in a storage shed with an adult male met the man through an Internet chat room.
Kacie Rene Woody disappeared Tuesday night from her Faulkner County home in Holland, about 30 miles north of Little Rock. Officers suspected she was kidnapped because she left the home without any shoes.
The girl was found dead with a man Conway police Lieutenant Chip Stokes now identifies as 47-year-old David Fuller, from the San Diego area in California. A tip led officers to the cluster of storage units in west Conway yesterday evening, and a shot rang out as they opened one of the sheds. Inside were both bodies.
Stokes says the deaths are being treated as a homicide-suicide.
Stokes says investigators believe Fuller abducted the girl, who was living with her father and brother. He said the girl's mother died in a traffic accident several years ago.
Stokes says the girl and Fuller appear to have communicated over the Internet for about a month. The investigation is continuing.
