In the wake of the kidnapping and murder of a Conway-area girl, community leaders in that city are organizing a series of events to increase awareness of Internet-related abductions.
In a forum yesterday, local law officers, business and political leaders and school officials shared information about how parents can monitor their children's access to the Internet. A similar forum is set for tonight at 6:30, at Faith Baptist Church in Greenbriar.
Thirteen-year-old Kacie Rene Woody of Holland was murdered December 4th by a California man she met on the Internet. Police said she was taken from her home at night by 47-year-old David L. Fuller of La Mesa, California.
Following a day of searching by law officers and pleas for Kacie's return, her body was found in a Conway storage unit along with Fuller's body. Police believe Fuller shot the girl, then shot himself.
