The Sherwood couple were found dead last month behind a gas station in Festus, Missouri.
Nicholas Sheley has been arrested in their deaths and the slayings of two others, and is a suspect in four other killings.
Nothing indicates Sheley knew the Arkansas couple. Police say Sheley attacked and beat them as they got out of their car at a Comfort Inn in Festus.
Police say he put the bodies in a stolen pickup truck, then drove to the gas station and left them in a ditch. Police say blood from the couple and the shoe belonging to Mrs. Estes were found in the pickup that witnesses say Sheley was driving.
