Dr. Randeep Mann of the London community in Pope County argued that his right to a speedy trial had been violated because he wasn't indicted until more than 30 days had passed after his arrest. But the
Tuesday ruling said a grand jury wasn't available when Mann was charged so the time was automatically extended.
Mann has until May 22 to challenge the ruling.
Mann faces a single felony charge. He has been named as a person of interest in a bombing that badly injured the director of the state Medical Board at his home in West Memphis.
