CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) -- On Monday, the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office arrested Daniel L. Klosky Jr., 40, for 38 counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.
"This is not a case of a pop-ups. This is not a case of someone clicking on the wrong icon. This is not someone clicking on something they didn't know what it was. This is someone searching for child pornography," Major Andy Shock of the Faulkner County Sheriff's Department says.
Faulkner County deputies arrested Klosky Monday afternoon as he worked at Greenbrier Ready Mix. At the same time, they served a search warrant on his home west of Greenbrier.
Klosky was a volunteer for the Greenbrier Fire Department; he was also a foster parent for the state of Arkansas.
When deputies served the search warrant, there were two foster children under Klosky's care.
Shock says, "The investigation is not over. We're looking into other aspects of the investigation. I can't confirm or deny that the children were participating or were victims or anything along those lines."
"I mean the only time we seen him come outside was if he was getting in his vehicle, " Audra Compton says. She has three children. They live only feet from Klosky's home Compton is shocked to hear about the charges against her neighbor.
Compton says, "[I'm] scared having my kids outside knowing that there's somebody right next door that likes looking at that stuff."
Shock adds, "Anyone that's looking or searching or viewing child pornography, we're coming for you. I mean, we want to put a stop to this. It's an evil thing and we're going to do everything we can to stop it."
Klosky remains in the Faulkner County Detention Center. He'll make his initial video appearance before a judge at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
