Students compete in Governor's Cup competition

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Craig O'Neill spent his lunch hour on Wednesday passing out thousands of dollars to deserving college students.

The Governor's Cup competition is for young entrepreneurs who come up with a business idea and then make a series of presentations, including a harrowing live 90 second pitch in front of a large audience.

The Arkansas Capital Corporation Group (ACCG) established the statewide collegiate business plan competition in 2001. The competition was first-class and sent a message to students that the resources to succeed in business can be found in Arkansas.

Six schools were represented today, with over $140,000 in total prize money handed out.
