'T-Rex Planet' gives kids an up-close, realistic encounter with animatronic dinosaurs

Dinosaur show roars into state fairgrounds

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Kids of all ages got to join in the "paleo-party” at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds.

"T-Rex Planet” opened Saturday. It's a traveling show featuring animatronic dinosaurs, plus a few creatures working the crowd.

It tries to give kids as realistic an experience as possible, knowing how many dinosaur experts there are among them.

“Different kinds of dinosaurs of all sorts. We have water, Stegosauruses, Tyrannosaurus Rex. Besides that we also have activities that the kids can do like bounce houses and you can ride the dinosaurs as well,” said Dinosaur Operator Fernando Aguilar.

The show runs until 8 Saturday night, and then again Sunday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. General admission is $25 per child.
