LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Here's a look at five things to do this weekend with the family.
1) Bradley County's Pink Tomato Festival
THV11 will be at Bradley County's Pink Tomato Festival in Warren Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., so be sure to stop by and say 'Hi'. More than 30,000 people are expected at the festival.
2) 10th annual Youth Fishing Derby
For kids out of school Friday is the 10th Annual Youth Fishing Derby at Burns Park in North Little Rock. This event is a fun-filled morning of fishing for youth and their families. It's a free event that starts at 8:30 a.m. You'll need to bring your own poles, tackle boxes and bait.
3) 'Night Under the Stars' in Heber Springs
Heber Springs is hosting a free movie event at Spring Park, called a 'Night Under the Stars.' All movies will be shown on a Saturday evening at dark at the Band Shell in Spring Park; Courageous plays this weekend. Concession will be available. 4) National Anthem World Record
Saturday is Flag Day, and Flag and Banner in downtown Little Rock is celebrating by trying to help set a National Anthem world record for the most people singing the song at one time. The event will also be a part of the Smithsonian Museum's "Raise It Up" event honoring the 200th anniversary of The Star Spangled Banner. Guests are encouraged to sign up to sing. This is happening at other locations across the country as well. Alyse will be leading the National Anthem from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
5) Arkansas' 178th Birthday
Saturday is also Arkansas' 178th birthday. The Old State House Museum and Historic Arkansas Museum is hosting a party from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will be given a chance to view and participate in a living history of 1836 Arkansas. Costumed interpreters will transform The Old State House.
