Fitness Friday: Motivation to get back in the gym

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- We all know how big of a struggle it can be to get motivated to get back into the gym. Jennifer Thompson and Tony Bailey from Clubhaus Fitness shared tips to get your motivated.

1. Make it Fun- Try new things, instead of just walking on a treadmill, try a class. We offer over 70 classes a week so you can try as many as you want until you find the thing that excites you.

2. Find your community-being a member of a health club is being part of a community. You will find people who support you and encourage you to get healthy. Make it convenient for you. If we are not close to you, find a gym that is.

3. Invest in yourself, Find the Time! You are worth it, and you can find the time. Adults spend an average of 11 hours a day watching television or online. You can find the time. If you are a mom, don't think of your workout as time away from your family, think of it as setting a good example and staying healthy for your family and YOURSELF.

4. Educate yourself- knowledge is power. If you went to college and they gave you a textbook and a desk but no teacher…what would you do? How successful would you be? That's why we have trainers. Personal trainers can teach you what you need to know to get optimal results. At Clubhaus, they have a wellness key that can help you track your progress and your workouts. Remember exercise like anything else requires practice to get better, the more you do it, the more confidence you gain and the better you will feel about it.
