Results: Saline County Showdown for Summer Cereal Drive

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- THV 11 was live in Saline County in both Benton and Bryant for the THV Summer Cereal Drive.

THV's Tom Brannon was live in Bryant and Bob Robbins with 105.1 The Wolf was live in Benton to help collect cereal.

It was a close, but friendly competition between Benton and Bryant this morning, or as Robbins said "cereal shootout". But the big winner is Saline county! In all, Saline County residents provided over 10,400 boxes of ceral to help feed hungry kids and their families this summer.

Now to the winner. With a margin of only 55 boxes, Benton is the "Cereal Showdown" winner!

Breakdown of boxes:

- Benton Wal-Mart Super Center: 1,022 boxes
- Bryant Wal-Mart Super Center: 967 boxes

- Benton Schools - 623 boxes
- Bryant Schools - 8,800 boxes

For the last 13 years, you, THV11, and the Arkansas Foodbank - in partnership with local businesses, groups, and schools - have teamed up during the summer months to provide healthy breakfast options for children and families in central Arkansas who would otherwise go without the most important meal of the day - breakfast.

We are collecting cereal starting today through June 27.
