Trayvon Martin's father helping 'Stop the Violence' with MLK Commission

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- One of the many missions of the Martin Luther King Junior Commission is to stop the violence. Hundreds of kids from across the state are expected to attend a special event today.

DuShun Scarbrough from the Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Commission along with Tracy Martin joined THV's Ashley Blackstone on "THV 11 This Morning".

Tracy Martin is Trayvon Martin's father, the Florida teenager killed by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in 2012.

The Commission will host "Nonviolence Youth Summit Part XI – STOP THE VIOLENCE" at the Pine Bluff Convention Center Friday, but event registration has closed.
