You could be a click away from an Associate's Degree

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- If you're one of the 6,000 Arkansans that have completed at least 75-percent of the classes required to earn an Associate's Degree, this is for you. A program called "Degree Matters" can help you finish.

There is a place for nearly all students at Arkansas' two-year colleges. Through Degree Matters, we are encouraging those who may have earned credit hours toward a four-year degree without finishing to apply those credits toward a two-year degree. We believe there are up to 6,000 Arkansans who are at least 75% of the way toward earning a two-year degree and may not even know it.

It's a simple three-step process to determine if you have credits that can be applied toward a two-year degree.

1. Go to

2. Search for your name at the prompt

3. If you find your name, contact us by email or be telephone and we will do the rest.

We want students to get the credit for the time, money and effort they have already invested toward a college degree. Degrees available at two-year colleges include many in the health field, such as nursing, as well as computer technology, manufacturing and trade skills…which are in high demand today.

Two-year colleges offer affordability, flexibility and accessibility for traditional and non-traditional students.

A two-year degree is estimated to be worth $400,000 more than a high school diploma over the course of a working career.

Having as many degree and credentialed workers as possible is good for the students, good for their families and good for Arkansas.
