LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – As roundabout construction at Fair Park and Zoo Drive continues, the area will be closed during certain hours this week.
Fair Park Boulevard between Markham Street and I-630 will be closed to through traffic beginning Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. through Thursday, Sept. 8 at 6 a.m.; and will be closed again on Thursday, Sept. 8 beginning at 7 p.m. until Friday, Sept. 9 at 6 a.m.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes during these times.
According to the City of Little Rock, the purpose of the closure is for the construction of new storm drains to be placed under Fair Park Boulevard. Construction on the area began in July and is set to last until October.
