LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Police are piecing together clues while investigating a double homicide in southwest Little Rock that ended with two women dead inside a blue Ford Explorer.
Little Rock police responded to a double homicide at 11000 block of Chicot Road.
Lieutenant Dana Jackson said when they arrived, two women were found dead inside a blue Ford Explorer parked out front of an empty trailer. Police confirmed one body was covered in blood.
"This morning at 8:19 a.m. Southwest Patrol got a call to an individual who had found a female in a vehicle,” Jackson said.
A neighbor who didn't want to be identified has lived in the neighborhood for almost a year now. They said they have noticed the vehicle coming through the neighborhood quite often and saw it on Saturday.
The neighbor assumed new tenants were moving in and even thought about stopping by to say hello.
"Ain't nobody been living in this trailer since I've been here,” the neighbor said. “But it had a for sale and for rent sign and then it went back for sale, but I see the clean-up ladies over here sometimes and the maintenance man.”
Now police are left with questions, as they try to solve the death of two women.
"The way I feel now, I am glad I didn't go over there and see this,” the neighbor said. “Because I would end up in the VA Hospital, my nerves and stuff like that."
Police said they would continue interviewing neighbors in the area. They have not released any names, or ages of the two women and police have no suspects in custody
Their deaths mark the 24th and 25th homicides on the year in Little Rock.
