FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - Losing a football game is a bitter pill to swallow for athletes, coaches, and sometimes even fans. For Lawton Lanier Nalley, the loss ended up with him in handcuffs after the Hogs were defeated 49-30 against Alabama.
As Coach Bielema was leaving the field, Nalley yelled at Bielema claiming if Nalley had the same record as him he would be fired. Nalley had no problem throwing around a few expletives during the rant as well. That's when University of Arkansas police intervened, who continued his argument with the police before they decided to arrest him.
Nalley was officially charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was released shortly after being booked.
Nalley is an associate professor of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness.
