Update: 1 killed in car, school bus accident in Cleburne County

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Arkansas State Police confirm that one person was killed when their van rear-ended a school bus in Cleburne County.

The accident occurred on State Highway 124 between Quitman and Rosebud between 7 and 7:30 a.m. Friday morning. State police spokesperson Bill Sadler said that the school bus, that had three students on board, had stopped to pick up a fourth.

The driver of the van, now identified as 54-year-old Martha Bearden of Guy, died when she rear-ended the bus.

Sadler said the children on board the bus were uninjured. There was also an infant in the van with Bearden who was not injured.
