Google glass gets special price cut

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - If you've got a soft spot for technology and are looking for a way to spend your refund check, today may be your lucky day.

Google is giving their computerized eyewear, also known as Google Glass, a price cut.

Today, glass costs $1,500, but Google is throwing in free frames or sunglasses.

However, today's supply is limited.

"It looks like Google is going to be releasing a public version to everybody at large later this year. And they want to have updated hardware for them, so they're probably getting rid of these Explorer headsets while they can," said Seth Rosenblatt, Senior writer for

Google introduced the first edition of glass, dubbed Explorer, about a year ago and initially restricted its sale to select groups like app developers.

The device functions like a smartphone, letting you read emails, navigate with maps and search the web.
