LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - In Monday's C-block, we are talking about an event that can help your health, along with supporting the mission of the American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

And if biking is not your thing, there is also a walk that same day. Here to tell us more about both events Becki Swindell, Manager of Central Arkansas Diabetes Association.

You can participate in the Central Arkansas Tour de Cure! The ride starts in Murray Park at the Little Rock side of the Big Dam Bridge and offers riders a choice of four routes ranging from an easy ride of 20 miles to a more challenging 100 mile route with a couple of options in between.

This is not a race, so you can ride at your leisure. Cyclists at all levels of expertise will have a unique day filled with food, a "Healthy Living Area", a "Kid Zone" and much more.

All routes are safe and fully supported with SAG vehicles, mechanical support, and rest stops stocked with hydration and a variety of snacks to keep you fueled.

By participating in the Tour de Cure, you will receive the personal satisfaction of completing a ride to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. You will know that you have joined us in the fight to stop diabetes!
