Parent of the year! Dad builds mini Ninja Warrior course for daughter

We just found Jessie Graff's mini-me, and the father of the year.

Lylah, an athletic five-year-old girl, is already training to be on competition show American Ninja Warrior. That's thanks in part to Lylah's dad, Gavin MacCall, who has turned their backyard into a mini-Ninja course with stuffed-animal spectators and obstacles including the "Hanging Steps at Christmas Tree Corner" and "The Log Thingies." There's even a small-scale warped wall.

She's come a long way since last year. Here's a video of Lylah from 2015.

"The day she turned the green chair around and climbed over it was the birth of the first (Ninja Warrior-inspired) course," MacCall tells USA TODAY. He says his daughter spends plenty of time at the playground and climbing on "the parking cement 'thingies,'" as she calls them. Creating new courses for Lylah "is fun for me, too," he says.

Want to help Lylah get more obstacles (and more videos with her dad's ANW-inspired commentary)? You can contribute to the MacCall family's GoFundMe campaign.
