Police searching for suspect after two Okla. officers shot

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- A massive police search is underway for an Oklahoma man suspected of shooting two officers during a violent crime spree.

38-year-old Michael Vance Junior appeared to taunt police by posting live messages to Facebook.

He is wanted on multiple charges, including two murder counts.

CBS affiliate, 5NEWS reports that officers were called to reports of shots fired in the Wellston, Oklahoma area around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Officials said that when authorities arrived to the scene, Vance opened fire with an AK-47, injuring two Wellston police officers.

Vance then allegedly shot and carjacked a woman, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The woman’s car was reportedly found where two people were shot to death just before midnight.

Authorities also believe that Vance is also connected to another shooting in Beckham County, in which one person was injured. There is now an arrest warrant out of Oklahoma County for Vance.

According to a wanted posted released by OHP, Vance has a medical condition and may try to spread disease. He is considered armed and dangerous.
