Families and friends in Arkansas can use hearts and feet to fight cancer
Today's THV and the American Cancer Society have partnered once for Relay For Life events. Walkers will go around the clock in the battle against cancer during the American Cancer Society Relays For Life this season. Locally, upcoming events will begin April 27 with the Relay For Life of Little Rock on the lawn of the Clinton Library and with the Relay For Life of Faulkner County at the Conway Expo Center.
Additional events taking place in Central Arkansas include:

- Relay For Life of Saline County - May 11, Bishop Park
- Relay For Life of Jacksonville - May 11, Jacksonville High School football field
- Relay For Life of Maumelle - May 18, Rolling Oaks Athletic Complex
- Relay For Life of Cabot - May 18, Cabot High School football field
- Relay For Life of Garland County - June 1, Oaklawn Park
- Relay For Life of North Little Rock - June 1, Riverside RV Park
At the event, individuals and teams camp out at an athletic track, park or other gathering area, with the goal of keeping at least one team member on a pathway at all times throughout the evening. Events begin at dusk and go until dawn. The overnight events signifies the cancer journey of the darkness of a diagnosis to the hope of a new day and a cure.
Relay brings together people from all walks of life aimed at furthering the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives by helping people stay well, by helping them get well, by finding cures and by fighting back.
Funds raised at Relay For Life are enabling the American Cancer Society to impact the lives of those touched by cancer within the community through education about Society cancer screening guidelines and resources to quit smoking, programs and services to offer support and assistance to those facing cancer, research to find new ways to detect, prevent, treat and cure cancer, and efforts that advocate for cancer patients and their families.
