FAULKNER COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - The man accused of stabbing and fatally shooting his ex-wife's husband faced a judge today.

Clayton Monsees, accused in the death of Billy Joe Ewing, appeared in court today. Officials say the judge found probable cause that he's tied to the murder of Ewing.

However, officials say no formal charges have been filed at this point, as the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the case.

Faulkner County prosecutor Cody Hiland says a judge also set a bench warrant on Monsees, meaning the county can hold him for 60 days. His bond is set at $500,000.

Monsees is due back in court on March 30 for a bond hearing.
