Deputies investigate vandalism at churches in Ward, Austin, Lonoke

LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - Deputies say they're investigating vandalism to three churches in three towns in Lonoke County.

According to the Sheriff's Office, they received a report of a possible burglary at the New Horizon Baptist Church in Ward just after noon on Saturday.

Deputies say a window had been smashed out at the church, but nothing was missing from inside.

On the same day, around 2:30 p.m., deputies say they received a report of another possible burglary at the Providence United Methodist Church in Austin.

Deputies say two windows had been smashed out on the side of the sanctuary. It hasn't been determined if anything was stolen from the church.

Later that day, around 4:00 p.m., deputies say they received a report of a possible burglary at Wattensaw Baptist Church in Lonoke.

Deputies say two glass doors at the front of the church building had been smashed out. It hasn't been determined if anything was stolen from the church.
