WHITE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - Authorities say a man crashed a small aircraft into a field in Higginson.

32-year-old J.P. Freppon of Bald Knob, authorities say, was piloting the plane that crashed into a field around 1:45 p.m. Thursday. He was able to dump all of the fertilizer it was carrying before the crash, and he was able to walk away from the accident uninjured.

Cpl. Steve Hernandez with the White County Sheriff's Department say the plane caught fire shortly after landing, but was extinguished by the Higginson Fire Department.
