STUTTGART, Ark. (KTHV) - Police in Stuttgart say everyone is back in their homes and explosives have been safely removed after a scare called for a two-block evacuation.
According to Stuttgart police chief Mike Smith, someone tearing down an old shed in the area found military-grade explosives inside a wooden crate from the Vietnam era. In fact, they were still in their original packaging.
Chief Smith says a bomb squad from the Little Rock Air Force Base removed the explosives, and they'll be delivered back to the base to be destroyed.
