SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) - Deputies are investigating a reported shooting in White County.
According to deputies, they were called to Oak Forrest Road just outside of Searcy around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived at the home, the 25-year-old male victim had been taken to the White County Medical Center in a personal vehicle.
Deputies say he reportedly had a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
It was reported to the White County Sheriff's Office that the victim was in the back room of the home when a young female came in to tell him that someone was there to talk with him. The victim was then approached by a young male and after a brief scuffle, he was shot.
The suspect and the young female left the home in a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo with license plate number 721REJ.
The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
