A.J. Cody, convicted of second degree murder.
LONDON, Ark. (KTHV) - The man who allegedly killed another man in London, Arkansas pleads not guilty.
Andrew James "AJ" Cody, 26 plead not guilty in a Pope County Circuit Court to first degree murder charges. Cody allegedly killed Lee Britton, 65.
Authorities say Cody and Britton had gotten into an argument over a claim that Britton molested a relative of Cody's. Sheriff Aaron Duvall of Pope County told us in May that at some point Cody took a shotgun and shot Britton in the head.
Sheriff Duvall said Cody initially denied involvement, but eventually admitted to the murder. Britton's background check revealed no sex abuse convictions.
His trial is set for February 2013.
