GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - A Hot Springs man is facing sexual assault charges, according to deputies.
Deputies say Tony Asbury, 36, allegedly made sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl in Garland County on June 27 of this year.
The 14-year-old, deputies say, told authorities that Asbury pushed her on a bed and raped her. According to a report, the victim's mother filed a rape report with the sheriff's department on July 4.
Deputies say they spoke with Asbury at his home on July 16, where he initially denied having any sexual contact with the teen.
However, after further questioning, the report says he admitted to engaging in deviate sexual activity with the victim. They say he also admitted to knowing the victim was only 14-years-old.
According to the Garland County Sheriff's Department, Asbury was arrested Thursday night on a warrant for fourth degree sexual assault.
