UNDATED (USA Today) -- Honey Boo Boo, aka Anna Thompson, and her Georgia family of self-described crazy rednecks, have welcomed the newest little clan member to reality-TV stardom, baby Kaitlyn.
The stars of TLC's hit show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo are all thrilled now that sister Anna, just turned 18, gave birth July 26 to a girl weighing 6 pounds, 2 ounces, according to People and other media reports.
The family's popular reality show, filmed in rural McIntyre, Ga., debuted Aug. 8, and the ratings have increased every week since then. In the episodes just aired, the eldest of HBB's sisters, Anna, whose nickname is Chickadee, is 17 and pregnant.
Now the baby has arrived and is thriving, although she was born with four fingers and two thumbs on her right hand. Granny June, the 300-plus-pound mama to HBB who is almost as big a personality on the show as her beauty-pageant princess daughter, says the family is unfazed by the baby's fingers.
June, 33, who is taking care of Kaitlyn as Anna prepares to finish high school, told People, "It makes Kaitlyn more special to us."
The father of the baby is not in the picture, but Alana/Honey, just turned 7, definitely is. "Baby Kaitlyn is so cute," she coos to People. Much cuter than her pet piglet Glitzy.
