LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas serve 490,000 people in Arkansas and surrounding states.
Their mission is to supply electric companies with the equipment and manpower they need.
Doug Evans, manager of safety at the coop's Little Rock headquarters, says there are 700 workers on standby to assist with damage repairs and power outages as Isaac comes through the state.
THV's Matt Buhrman talks with Evans and discusses safety concerns during the storm.
