CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - A Conway woman is facing seven charges, including one that is a felony after a school bus incident.

Police say the charges that 26-year-old Temika McClure is facing stem from an incident that happened on a Conway Public Schools bus at a drop-off location on 1st and Ingram streets on Aug. 30. Witnesses tell police that McClure boarded the bus upset because her daughter claimed another child on the bus was picking on her and had stabbed her with a pencil.

Witnesses tell police that McClure ordered two of her other children to get back on the bus and "handle" the issue. Police say the two children got on the bus and attacked another child.

According to witnesses, the bus driver asked McClure to exit the bus but she did not. The fight, witnesses tell police, stopped when a man got on a bus and told the kids to stop.  It is unclear at this time who the man was. The bus driver radioed for assistance in stopping the fight.

According to the Conway Police Department, a school resource officer pieced together events and presented them to the prosecutor who elected to bring out the charges.

Police say that while McClure didn't commit the act herself, she faces charges because she appeared to instruct the children to attack another child.

McClure was arrested Wednesday evening on seven charges including second degree battery.
