LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas highway crews will be performing geo-technical sampling on U.S. Highway 67 in Jacksonville, which will require a lane on the road to be closed.

Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials say the outside lane near the Main Street exit will be closed Monday night and Tuesday night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., if the weather permits.

Officials also say a routine inspection of the U.S. Highway 70 bridge over the Cache River in Prairie County will require alternating lane closures between eastbound and westbound lanes. The work is scheduled to be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, if the weather permits.

Officials are urging motorists to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
