LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police confirm an accident that occured on I-630 Tuesday morning killed one person.
The multiple-car accident happened around 7:00 a.m. on Interstate 630 eastbound at the Pine Street exit. Traffic was at a standstill through most of the morning commute.
The wreckage was cleared around 8:15 a.m.
According to ASP, the investigation is focused on a tire and wheel which disengaged from a vehicle traveling in the westbound lanes.
They say the wheel crossed the highway into the eastbound lane and impacted the vehicle driven by Peter J. Gee, 52, killing him.
