WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (AP) - A tribute to 1950s rock-and-roll singers who played in northeast Arkansas is set to open at a park in Walnut Ridge.
Guitar Park is a 115-feet long, 40-feet wide walk that is shaped like a guitar and will open at Cavenaugh Park on Saturday. The park is along State Highway 67 and the Iron Mountain Depot.
The walk is to be lined with displays in honor of the rock pioneers who performed in northeast Arkansas - primarily during the mid-1950s.
The site will also feature an audio tour with narration by Sun Studios recording artist Sonny Burgess.
