LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- With the iPhone 5 release, many are looking to upgrade, and wondering what to do with your old phone. We have a couple of ways you can recycle your old device. One way is to sell it, and make some money.
"We buy back electronics and we also have some recycling plans in place," says Chris Morris, manager of Tech Gods in Little Rock. "When you have a release of a new phone whatever it is, you don't want to leave it at your house because there's some assumed value there and we're an option because we'll give you cash for it."
And we're talking hundreds of dollars.
"For the 4s we typically give up $320 and for the 4 we are looking up to about $200," Morris says.
Consumers aren't just heading to the stores to sell their phones, some are skipping that step and going straight to the internet. We turn to eBay to see how much an iPhone 4 will bring you. One iPhone 4 with 16 gigabytes is going for about $450.
Keep in mind, the value all depends on the phone's condition, gigabytes and color. Those factors determine how much money you can get.
Tech Gods has a website that gives you an estimate for your old phone online. You can type in the make, model and condition and they will email you back your phone's value.
Also, Game Stop is giving away iPhone 5 cases if you sell an old iPhone.
