LOS ANGELES (AP) - A California man whose alleged Internet rant about killing children led to his arrest has been released on bond.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Joshua Dubin says Eric Yee posted a $100,000 bond Thursday and is no longer in custody. The 21-year-old is due back in court Oct. 16.

Yee was arrested Monday in Santa Clarita after allegedly commenting about a story on ESPN's website about the cost of new Nike sneakers named after LeBron James.

Authorities claim Yee said he wouldn't mind killing children, and there were unregistered weapons in the Valencia, Calif., house he shares with his parents that overlooks two schools.

He was charged with possession of an illegal weapon.
