LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- It's a disease of the brain that affects children and chances are you've never heard of it. It's called Hydrocephalus. Organizers held the first ever Little Rock Kids Festival on Sunday to bring awareness to the disease.
It's caused by an increase of pressure in the brain. Health officials say the disease affects one out of every 500 children.
"That makes it as prevalent as juvenile diabetes as well as Down Syndrome but most people have never heard of Hydrocephalus," says Cessiyle Lawson with Arkansas Pediatrics.
