Pine Bluff, Ark. (KTHV) - The second convenience store clerk in recent days is murdered in Pine Bluff.

"Yes. I am worried and I am really upset." said Muhammad Tareck, a co-worker of the victim.

Pine Bluff Police Department Captain Greg Shapiro said Tuesday, just before 9 p.m., a gunman shot and killed 26-year-old Muhammad Islam.

"His family lives in Bangladesh," said Tarek.

Employees said the store owner has made it his mission to help natives of Bangladesh start a new life.  They said Islam moved from Ozone Park, New York three weeks ago.

"He does not have any children that we know of.  He does not have a wife here in the states that we know of and we were unable to locate any family here in Arkansas or close." said Captain Shapiro.

Pine Bluff Police Department is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
