JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - A special event is taking place at the Jacksonville Military Museum on Sunday. The museum is hosting the Gold Star Mother's Day ceremony at 2:00 p.m.

This is a time to honor the parents who have lost a son or daughter who was serving in the armed forces. The ceremony is open to the public, but seating is limited to the first 100 people who arrive.

Daughters of the American Revolution and the Children of the American Revolution are hosting the event. The museum, located at 100 Veterans Circle in Jacksonville, will offer free tours of the facility following the ceremony.
