Sunday was an extremely difficult day for the THV family. We mourned the loss of our dear friend and co-worker, Matt Turner, who died in a car accident Saturday night. However, our loss is nothing compared to that of his beloved family.
Matt Turner joined the THV team in August and immediately became one of us. Something we quickly learned about Matt was his deep love and passion for his family. At 32 years old, Matt left behind his wife Julee and their 10-month-old daughter, Preslee. He is also survived by his mother, Lisa, and brother, Andy.
Before Matt came to our team at THV, he spent nine years at KNWA in Fayetteville. He grew up in Arkadelphia and was so excited to be home, working what he called his "dream job."
During Sunday night's newscast, Craig O'Neill, Dawn Scott, Liz Massey, and Ed Buckner remembered their beloved friend and colleague. Our heavy hearts here at THV continue to be with Matt's family during this terrible time.
