ENGLAND, Ark. (KTHV) - The former police chief in England is denied getting his job back.
Herman Hutton tells Today's THV that he went before the England City Council Tuesday to ask for his job back.
Hutton says one councilwoman, Mary Givens, put a motion to the board to reinstate him as chief, but no one seconded it.
"I will not be going quietly into the night," says Hutton after explaining that he'll be talking with his attorney on exploring other options.
Hutton was terminated Sept. 21 after being chief for five years. Prior, he worked for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office for 14 years, the Coroner's Office, and was even a deputy sheriff in Nebraska.
