LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin has postponed a planned meeting with constituents in Beebe.
Griffin says in an email that Monday's scheduled event at Daniel Park Gazebo is being postponed due to a death in his family and that he will be attending a funeral on Monday. Griffin does not say who died - but said the event will be rescheduled.
Other constituent meetings - which Griffin calls "Sweet Tea with Tim" - are still scheduled for Tuesday in Little Rock; Thursday in Maumelle; Oct. 24 in Bryant and Oct. 25 in Greenbrier.
Griffin is a Republican seeking a second term in Congress and faces Democrat Herb Rule in the Nov. 6 election.
