LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Halloween is just two weeks away and for many that means parties, family gatherings and trick-or-treating with the kids. That's also means coming up with a Halloween costume.
Today's THV is always trying to help you save money so instead of shelling out the big bucks on a bagged costume, we decided to see if it's possible to create a unique Halloween costume on a budget.
THV's Alyse Eady, Tom Brannon and Ashley Blackstone headed to their local Goodwill store with a mission: find a costume in under 15 minutes. Click on the THVideo!
While Ashley and Alyse scoured numerous racks of clothes, shoes and bags, Tom quickly grabbed several different items (scrubs, tropical shirt, orange hat) to create what he calls "a doctor on vacation." Alyse came up with a "karate girl" costume and Ashley pulled together "a school teacher at a Christmas Party". The cost for 3 adult costumes was $37!
And from now through Nov. 3, submit a photo of your Halloween costume made from items you purchased at Goodwill for a chance to win an $85 Goodwill shopping spree! Email your photo along with your contact information to marketing@goodwillar.org and Goodwill will randomly choose a winner from all entries received by 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.
