LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport debuts its new Inline Baggage Screening System.
The media got a tour to check out the new system which uses automated networks of explosive detection systems to screen bags more efficiently than their stand-alone counterparts, while maintaining a high level of security.
The airport says the system streamlines the baggage checking process, allowing most airline passengers to leave their bags at the ticket counter, instead of carrying them to the old screening system. The change will also free up valuable lobby space.
The improvement is an integral part of Clinton National Airport's ongoing $67 million terminal renovation project.
