DOVER, Ark. (KTHV) - Officers are investigating a body that was found Tuesday afternoon near Dover. Pope County Sheriff Aaron Duvall said surveyors found the body around 2:15 p.m. It was located near a small creek, southwest of downtown, right outside of the city limits.
The coroner has the body and is investigating the cause of death. At this time, Duvall said foul play is not suspected but officers are looking in to all possibilities.
The Pope County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas State Police, and Dover Marshals are working together on this case. Officers found an ID near the body, but are not releasing the man's name until they notify the next-of-kin.
