PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) - The Delta Regional Authority and state and federal agriculture officials are holding a workshop in Pine Bluff focusing on drought recovery assistance.
The workshop will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is scheduled to participate via video.
Delta Regional Authority co-chairman Chris Masingill says the Delta region was hit hard by this year's drought - particularly farmers, small businesses and rural communities.
The workshop will outline resources that are available to assist with drought recovery.
