LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) The Race for the Cure may be over, but the people who make a difference in the lives of cancer patients are still working hard. "Wraps for a Cause" is raising money all month.
It's not gift wrapping, it's body wrapping to detox your body. This month all their proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, but they have much bigger plans.
"We want to get involved with the community. We want to be able to work with different people in the community. Let's say if somebody's house burned down two weeks before Christmas, we want to be able to come in, do a fundraiser, really take care of that family, make sure if there's any children involved they have a great Christmas" says Daria Carpenter, the founder of Wraps for a Cause.
The next wrap party is October 28 in Bryant at the Purple Room at Bishop Park. Next month, they'll be raising money for Alzheimer's and Diabetes Foundations.
