CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - The suspect in a Conway police chase that happened nearly a month ago was arrested Wednesday.

The case all stems from a police chase Sept. 30 along a busy stretch of Oak Street in Conway, not far from I-40. Police say Nikki Rust, 41, ran three red lights before crashing into a car. The crash sent both the Rust and a 16-year-old girl in the other vehicle to the hospital.

Rust has since been released from the hospital and was arrested and charged with DWI, battery, and fleeing the scene of a serious injury accident. Police say warrant officers found her in Little Rock.

THV's research into Rust's past shows a June 2 arrest for DWI and unsafe driving out of Clinton in Van Buren County. Conway police said she also had two prior DWI convictions.
