LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A local church and a cab company are offering rides to those who don't have transportation to the polls Nov. 6.
Yellow Cab is offering anyone 60-years-old or older without their own transportation a ride to their voting locations on Election Day. All you have to do is call (501) 222-2222 and tell them your address and the address of your polling location.
St. Mark Baptist Church on W. 12th Street will also have a van service to give rides to the polls from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call the church at 501-663-3955 to make an appointment time to be picked up.
"We are encouraging everyone to exercise their right to vote by getting to the polls by election day. The goal of our church is to be of assistance to the community so that they everyone has that opportunity," said Senior Pastor Phillip L. Pointer, Sr. "We are reaching out to those who have a desire to vote but may not have a way to get there."
