LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A former lieutenant with the Benton Fire Department made his initial appearance in court Tuesday on charges of receipt and possession of child pornography.
According to United Stated Attorney Christopher R. Thyer, Timothy Ryan Bodkin, 39, was indicted Feb. 6 after Arkansas State Police led an investigation into child pornography child sharing. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Thyer said police were able to isolate an IP address used by Bodkin to download the images, and with help from the Saline County Sheriff's Office, officers were able to find that Bodkin kept the downloaded files on a computer in his locker at his fire station.
Thyer added that police found over 1,000 images of child porn on the computer.
